Why no Brake Fluid Questions...

yep... sorta... the military uses it so we have it for one of our programs. The stuff we have is silicone based, and purple! Do NOT mix it with your current brake fluid (OEM uses DOT3 glycol based fluid). We had an issue on one of the test stands where they didn't flush out the silicone fluid well enough and it toasted some seals. Which is odd, since the same seal material is used for both fluids... but when you mix them you get weird results...

I just tried the "gravity" one-man flush in my truck. Hey, it actually worked just fine. It took an hour but who cares in the comfort of my garage.

I have a 2001 F-150 XLT 2WD with the rear discs and ABS. It took approximately 2/3 to 3/4 of one of those quart bottles (32 oz. or 946 ml) - I just eyeballed the container when I was finished. The quart bottle is comfortably enough to flush out my system.
