.....Should I do this??????

My local mechanic has a 2005 fx4......it has a 6" superlift, with 37x14x18 toyo open country AT. He says they have less than 10,000 miles on them. Also, they are mounted on a chrome 18x10 american racing rim......He wants 1000 for all 4 rims and tires..........It looks like those tires new are about 500 per tire. He's going to a 40" tall tire on a 20" rim and just wants enough to cover the new rims......

Whattaya think?

If the tires look great and he's just not telling you they have 10k on them then it should be an easy decision......BUY THEM

Even if you don't like this set up, it would be worth well over $2,000! You can always sell them and get what you want, or keep them. The toyos are a very good m/t, and from what i hear they wear well.

Thanx guys.....yeah I was actually thinking about going with the "Black" theme. Thats why I was debating about buying them. So, heres what I figured. The tires alone are worth the money, the rims are a "throw in". Im going to go ahead and get them and try to sell my 315/70/17 goodyears. They only have about 2000 miles on them......With the chrome rims on I'll be able to decide if I want to stay chrome or go black.

Yes, my mechanic is going with a 8" rize and a 3" body lift.......

I DID NOT KNOW YOU CAN RUN 37" WITH JUST 6" OF LIFT AND HOW IS HE GOING TO GET 40" TIRES?

So, I went to my mechanics garage today......and the American racing rim he "thinks" he has.......are actually 18x10 mazzi hulks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have a little bit of pitting from the salt but nothing too bad...

With 37x14x18 Toyo Open Country All Terrains (MT are being outlawed on the street in illinois)

These tires have maybe 4 or 5 thousand miles on them. I even found a few nubbys still on them.

$800.00 OUT THE DOOR, ON MY TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PICS WILL BE ON HERE ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
