Cheapest place for TPMS and bands

Just like the title states....where is the cheapest place to buy new TPMS sensors and bands? I'm not looking for the rigging ideas that some people have done on here with PVC piping, bailing wire, etc.

Would it be smarter to take them off my stock wheels? I figured I could get a little more for them if I kept the tires on the wheels with the sensors attached since they have less than 1000 miles on them. Yes....no....?

Take the sensors and brackets, not the bands, they are not reusable, off your OE wheels. Cost for new and programming them to your vehicle is a lot more expensive than the cost of removing them and getting new bands. As only 07 up have the TPMS, fewer people looking to buy yours will need them than those that do.

There is a set of sensors on ebay right now for $60 bucks, that seems pretty cheap to me if a person wants to keep their stockers mated up for occasional use.

I'm guessing the getting them programmed to the truck at Ford would be the expensive part.

When my lift was installed, the shop swapped the bands and sensors from my stockers to the new wheels for $40 and I haven't had a tire pressure light go off yet. I suggest you have a shop move them from your stockers.

for what your gonna pay for new sensors and having them programmed, you would be better off just busting the tires apart and getting your stock sensors. on ebay search "tpms" theres a seller than sells all 4 bands, cradles, and clip for opening bid of 60 bucks or BIN for 75, i just put this kit on my screw. good quality and way cheaper than the dealer. and you'll get more for your stockers with just having the bands on them anyway. but alot of people dont have the need for sensors anyways, unless your taking 20's off with sensors.

are there any negative effects if you don't put the TPMS on your new rims or is it just that you have to deal with the stupid light?

Depending on the option level of your truck, XL, XLT, etc, you may have just a light and an occasional beep or you may have the warnings and beeps in the info center...

Not running TPMS on your truck will NOT cause any sort of damage or other issues.

American Muscle sells the brackets too? Do you have a link for that?

My dealer gave me the scenario: What happened it you got in an accident because a tire blew out and someone got killed and didnt have the senors in the tires. i didnt think much of it at the time, but you know how sue happy people are these days over nothing.

Have you actually tried these yet on your truck?

I havn't installed them yet, been busy working. they are like a big hose clamp, after you get them tight you cut off the access material. if you go to their web site, they have install instructions.. www.americanmuscle.com I will change my wheels next week.

Figured I'd bump this up. Discount tire direct has new bands and cradles for the sensors for 43 shipped a set. I just ordered them up, thought it was a good deal. With their bands you can't use your stock cradle, the bands were 22 bucks and the cradles 21, for all 4.

I'm guessing your local discount tire could get you the same thing for close to the same price. This is about half price of the ones from americanmuscle.
