I was driving to work this morning and about 10 miles into my trip I heard something pop. I checked my mirrors and my rear tires were fine. I drove another mile and my right rear tire just blew out the side wall. I stopped and checked it out and the inner side wall was perfect the outer was gone. Has anybody else experienced this or worked with pro-comp on there warranty? I've only hade the tires since november so I'm not payin' for another one.

 

Doesnt pro comp only have a warranty on A/T (50k) and X A/T (40k) for treadwear?

I hope you get some feedback on this because I would like to know how their warranty (if any) works as well.

 

I called the store where I bought them and they said that they would order me another tire and send the damaged tire back. From what I understood Pro-Comp will look at the damaged tire and "determine" if it was from hitting something on the road or if it was a bad tire. When it blew out it ate my flare and my shock up so they are going to see about getting money for that too!

 

Good luck with that, i hope they "determine" the right thing. Did they feel weird otherwise before that? Did they show any signs of doing anything stupid, cause that would really suck to have the front one blow out at 80 mph goin down the interstate!!!

 

This isnt the first time i've seen pro-comps blowing out.
I used to work at a tire shop, they came in all the time.
A friend of mine had a lifted excursion with pro-comps.. tire blew out and rolled it on the freeway over the median!
Be carful and keep an eye on them. hope all goes well
