Eagle Alloy's polished aluminium
Eagle Alloy's polished aluminium
My new wheels have taken a real beating with the salt on the roads this winter. The lugs are starting to show signs of rust and the wheel it self has completely dulled with what looks like water marks that won't come off.
Does anyone know of a product or a method that works best from bringing them back to life this spring??
thanks

the best product i have found is Meguires HOT RIMS, i have tried several other polishes including the mothers polish but the hot rims really brought out that brand new shine again. But make sure that your wheels arnt sealed before you use it.

Being a fellow Canadian, my best advise to you is to swap over to your stock rims and tires for the winters, especially in Halifax where the use a crap load of salt on the roads. That Meguires is a great product, I have used it myself and it worked great
P.S Your truck looks really nice, I like that wheel and tire package.

I used the mequiars "hot rims aluminum wheel cleaner" when I had my polished boyds and it worked pretty good to keep them clean and shiny from a few steps back.
If you need to polish them up from the rough I'd use nevr-dull polish.
I just dropped my polished aluminum rims off at the powdercoater to get clearcoated because I refuse to polish/clean a set of rims again. Nothing looks better than polished aluminum, but its too much of a pain to keep up with polishing them.
