325/60-18 on stock wheel?
325/60-18 on stock wheel?
I know these "will this fit" questions are tiring, but I've researched the forum and the answer is inconclusive.
I have a 2004 FX4 Screw with a 2.5" leveling kit. I really like the Nitto Terra Grappler in a 325/60-18 and want to put them on the stock wheels for now. ( I plan to get new wheels later, but I just bought the wife a new Mustang and need to spread out the outflows). I would think this tire would be too big for the stock wheels, but I've seen a couple members on here that seem to have them.
Can anyone share their wisdom and experience? Please, someone tell me "yes, it can be done!"
Thanks

honestly, a 315 is really pushing it for a stock wheel. a 325 will probably not work. you will just be running a leveling kit, correct? a 315 will be plenty big and will look great. you will probably also experience some rubbing at full lock, even with the 315.
325/60 18 will actually work one of the guys i work with has the setup on his stock FX4 rims. He rubs at full lock on the lower control control arm and thats it. now the clearance on the upper control arm is very small but you still have about 1/4 inch.
Well, I went today to try it. The tires mounted on the rim just fine but the tires rubbed on the upper control arm and the stabilizer bar on the bottom when turned full crank. Can't deal with that getting into parking spaces here in So Cal. Too bad because they looked great. I'm going to try some 305-65-18's and see if they fit.
