Does tire load affect treadlife?

Hey guys. I'm trying to decide between 275/65r18 (load C) and 275/70r18 (load E) Cooper Stt's. I like the look of the 1 inch taller tire and don't really care about the ride quality. i sold my boat and 4 wheelers so i don't have to worry about towing anymore. Will a higher load rating increase the life of the tire? the smaller tire is a bit cheaper. Thanks for any help guys. Have a good one!

I thought load rating only took into account sidewall strength.

No it will not affect tread life. In general, properly maintained with proper inflation, you will get about the same miles out of the tires. That assumes that rubber compounds and tread depth are the same.
