My Tire Pressure light started going of this weekend on a long drive. About 2 weeks ago I got new rims and tires. The tire place put the sensors in my new wheels with large hose clamp type bands. My tires are load range E BFG 285/65 18 and I am running them with about 45 psi. Do the senors go off if the pressure is too high or only too low? I figure its either that or the sensor has come loose. The tires feel a little out of balance at high speed so maybe that is it.

Thoughts?

 

They go off when the air pressure drops too low. Sounds like a band came loose.
