Wheel selection

Hey Guys/Gals,
I have an 07 f150 4.6l 2wd and I was looking into getting some rims for it. I want to stay with 17 or 18. I also want to know what the widest tire I can put on without having to modify anything?

If you want to go with an offroad look, I'd go with some 17x8's with 5 or 5.5 inches of backspacing and some 265/70-17's.

Why do you want the widest tire? Are you giong for a street ish tire or offroad?

I want a tire that sticks out of my fender a little. I drive the truck everyday and do NO off road. I just want a set of tires and rims that look good without having to modify anything on the truck. I basically want to order the rims, mount the tires to them and put them on the truck. Doing it without affecting ABS sensors or anything like that. Thank for the help
