315/60/17

I just bought a '99 F-150 4X4 with factory-sized 265/70/17 (31.6"X10.4") tires on it. I'd like to go wider without adding height. I also own a '96 Jeep XJ with 32" BFG's on it, which are actually 31.6"X12.5". On my Ford, I've already got the same height, I'd just like to get the same width.

I played with the numbers a little, and found that a 315/60/17 tire would be 31.8"X12.4". Now for my questions:

1. Does anyone make a tire in that size (haven't researched it)?

2. Would a tire 2" wider than stock fit on my stock rims?

3. Would that additional 1" of tire on the inside of the wheel rub anything at full lock?

Thanks!

I've never seen that size. I'd go with a 305/65-17 (33x12.50). These will fit easily using your oem wheels.
