Silent armor of toyo open country?!!

I need new tires. Im torn between 2. The goodyear silent armor and the toyo open country. The goodyears are cheaper by about 25 bucks. I had goodyear RT/S on my ranger and they wore out in no time. but the new silent armor AT/S with the kevlar are supposed to be really tough. I like the toyos as well but would rather save some cash. Good advice from u guys please? I have a 2007 F150 XL with 275/65/18 FX4 rims

I had the Goodyear stock tires (I think they were regular street tires, but forgot which model), but I didn't like them at all. THe silent armors may bebetter but never tried them either. I DO have the Toyo's and love them. 35/12.5/18 on stock 18 fx4 rims. Great tire, smooth as stock, but a little louder than stock tires after 30mph. I hear the BFG KM2 are also great tires.

No doubt. I'd go with the Toyo's.

i just bought open country at's and love them. They are great in the small amount of offroad my truck does from time to time. They also are really good in the rain on the pavement unlike a BFG at

Go with the Toyo's. See my gallery for pics of the 275-70-18's on FX4 rims.

We don't sell the Toyo, but this model Goodyear is one of their best, and is better than the RTS stock tires. It's one of our best sellers. I'm partial, of course.....

I'm just curious as to why you guys went with the Toyo Open Country over the Nitto Terra grappler? It's basically the same tread pattern, but from what i've seen the Nitto is cheaper.

I have a set of 285x70x17 Toyo AT's and they will do everything my BFG AT's can do. Only knock's against them is that they ride a little rough and are not as aggressive looking as the BFG's. The Silent Armour's get good mark's also. Also you may want to check out the Nitto Terra Grappler's, they are made by Toyo and have a little better looking sidewall's, close to the same tread pattern as the Toyo AT.

i have a set of goodyears silent armors on my truck right now, and they have been good to me so far, but i would go with the toyo's if i had it to do over again.
