Question Method of trueing drilled and slotted rotors

I have Baer Eradispeed rotors up front. Do I need to do anything special to have them trued. I took a mic to them the other day and found about .002 from the middle to the top. I think they need a little skimming done. I am not sure if I want to take them to the local Kragens to have the work done. Any recommendations?

I had a set of Powerslot rotors on my 99 that got warped cause I installed ceramic pads - bad idea. They warped enough to cause significant pedal pulsation. I don;t know what others experience is, but I tried to find a machine shop to true them and they all said no dice. They were afraid the slots would damage their lathe and/or bit. I would imagine with drilled and slotted the problem would be the same.

I would not think that the slots or holes would damage a lathe as it will only hit the high spots. I mean you can take a square piece of metal and make it round on a lathe. I would like to take it to someone who has had experience with working with non factory rotors if it makes a difference.

Cutting bits do not like intrupted cuts you need to use diffrent bits.
Most shops now have grinders to do sloted rotors or they just replace. Sloted rotors are now comeing stock on loads of hi-end cars. Stupid bling.....on cars that don't need it. Anyway find a shop with a grinder or a turn on the car unit.

Have them done by having the braking surface ground.
