Time For New Tires

Its about that time for new tires. I'm gonna get my t-bars cranked so I can fit 285/70/17s on the truck. As for tires I wanted to get M/T but I don't do that much off roading to spend the extra money to get them. I also leave for the Navy and my truck is gonna be driven across country to Iowa will it will rest there for a while until I get back to it. So M/Ts wont cut it. I do want an A/T tire though. I'm not sure which one to get. I like the BFGs but I heard they're soft and don't get as good as milage on them as they should have. What are some other good A/T tires that will hold up well on the highway, but when I'm off roading they will perform well?
I'm thinking of:
BFG A/T
Nitto Terra Grappler
Pro Comp Xtreme All Terrain?
Toyo A/T?

Thanks!

All of those are excellent choices. Also, I agree, you can easily get 60,000 miles out of a set of BFG AT KO's.

Alright I think I'm gonna look into some BFG's. Anyone know where I can get cheap prices?

Can I fit 295/70/17 on my 4x4 with the T-bars cranked about an inch or 1.5 with the valence taken off?

When I get the money I'm also gonna be getting some Bilsteins put in.

Yes, they will fit. I don't think you will have to trim any if you use your OEM wheels.

Thanks Wandell. I also checked and I can't find any BFG A/T in that size only Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I may get 285-70-17 BFG AT depends on the prices between the two.

And yes I'm using OEM wheels.
