backspacing for fabtech

Im looking at getting a Fabtech 6" with 2" AS spacer....
I have 315/70/17's now.

I want to run 37/13.5/17. what width and backspace would I need to run on a 17" rim to not have any conflicts......

I beleive they recommend 5 inches of bs, but I'm not positive. I'd go with a 9 inch wide wheel.

I would go with a 5" backspace on a 9" wheel. That will help it clear better, you are still trying to fit a tall tire. The closer you bring it in, the less it will rub, but you will want to make sure it clear all your suspension, and not go in too far. I have a 6" fabtech, with a 1.5" leveling kit and 35's. They only rub at full lock when going up a driveway, but u-turns or no problem. I have a 20x9.5" wheel with 4.75" backspace.

I agree on the 9" wheel with 5 inches backspacing.

I have the 6" Fabtech with the coilovers cranked and an AAL with 37x13.5R17's on 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks with 5.5" of backspacing. You will need to trim the front valance a little bit but there is no rub at full lock turn and no rubbing when you stuff the tire inside the wheel well.

Your truck looks great! I'm curious if a 5.5" backspace with fit the standard shock fabtech kit...I know they call for a 5" bs, I wanted to make sure cranking the coilovers doesn't change the suspension geometry at all, allowing the 5.5" backspacing.

To sum it up, can a person run a 5.5" backspaced 9" rim on the stage 1 fabtech kit?

Bumpin this up one more time to see if anybody has experience runnin the 5.5" bs wheel on the fabtech kit for the NBS besides 4x4LariatMan. The fabtech instructs say you can run the stock tire/rim which is a 5.5" bs so I don't think the rim would have clearance issues with the suspension.

That BS is working for 4x4LariatMan just wanting to make sure its not because of the DL coilovers, as I will be running the basic fabtech kit.

how about 6" of back spacing on a 20x9 wheel. Those with fabtechs... think that would work? I know Sal had a 6.67 or so backspacing on his rancho/daystar lift.

I went ahead and ordered the 17x9's with 5.5" BS. My lift goes on in exactly two weeks, I'll measure and get some specs on clearances when its done. Hopefully I won't be buying spacers

I am researching what wheels to get with a 6" fabtech lift, which brought me to this thread.

When I look up wheels, they do not seem to list the backspacing.
At the KMC website, they list an offset in what appears to be mm's?

What size rim can I mount 33's on and have the tire still be economical?
What would be rim options in terms of size?
From what I have read, stock wheels will not work with the kit.
