What are my options
What are my options
Hey guys....im new to this forum. Just bought me a 06 f-150 4X4 XLT. It has factory 17 inch wheels on it. I was wondering what was my options on a wheel/tire setup? I was wantin to go with a 18 in wheel and the biggest tire i can fit without rubbin anything. Can anyone give me some tips on backspacin, rim width, and all the other things before i go and dump some money on some wheels and tires? I also like the look of the tires stickin out past the fender. Thanks for yalls help!!

According to that ad, I do not see your bolt pattern listed. If you indeed have a '06, you need to be looking at a 6x135 bolt pattern. Also, if you have no lift a 10" wide wheel may be tough to fit on a stock truck with no lift. You'd most likely have some rubbing issues.
Before getting larger tires and wheels, do you plan on any type of lift? Leveling kit, body lift, or suspension? That will determine that best route for you. If you plan on staying stock, you can go 18's, but I would stick to a 18x9 wheel. Backspace is what you really have to worry about.
As a general rule, if you add a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit to a 04-08 4x4, you can fit 35x12.50's using the oem wheels or 33's using aftermarket wheels. I'd suggest adding a Autospring leveling kit and running a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire on an 18x9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing, depending on how far you want the tire/wheel to "stick out".

Help please
Ok i have looked around and i think this is the setup I want to go with if it will work. Moto Metal 951's 4.5" backspacing -12 offset 6x135 18x9's with Toyo Open Country MT 35x12.5. I would be willing to put a leveling kit on if needed. You opinions????
