Spare Tire System

I recently was getting an all new set of tires including a full size spare because I needed them. I was taking off the old spare but when I was cranking the spare tire mechanism back up it got stuck. Needless to say I took the spare tire carrier off and took it apart. The metal wire that holds the tire frayed and will not wind up or down anymore. Does anyone know where I could get a new one (or even a used one) and does anyone know what the proper name for the spare tire carrier is called?

BTW, I have a 2000 Ford F-150.

Thanks

New= dealer
Used= junkyard
Name="spare tire carrier"... good enough

What do you mean by "full size" spare, I think all F150 come with a full size (stock size) spare. Also, most of the carriers come with a "lock" socket, like a wheel lock, so you would need this part too for the replacement.
