Replacing one tire?

I have the stock Pirelli Scorpions ATRs (275/55/20) with about 20K on them - all have good tread left (about 9/13 each). My right front tire has a peel on the sidewall where the raised Pirelli lettering appears. I've had differing opinions from Tire Kingdon/Discount Tire/Ford about whether the peel is serious. I am planning to replace the tire - for my own piece of mind.

Q - What is the best way to replace this tire, given the usefulness of the remaining tires?

Do I replace just one? Two? My gut says replace two with Pirelli ATRs and rotate to the back, then replace the remaining two in 8-10K.

I realize there are differing opinions on the Pirellis, so I would prefer to focus this thread only on the advice as how/if I should maximize the remaining life on the other three tires.

Thanks in advance, yall.

If you are dead set on remaining with the Pirelli's I would go with 2, not just 1! You are correct. Put the 2 new ones in the back and the 2 best ones up front and you should be good to go!

Thanks. It's good to hear the confirmation of the two to the back.

I'm not dead set on the Pirelli's per se... but the "cheap bastard" in me is having trouble justifying giving up on the remaining Pirellis. They have been good tires for me - 95% highway driving and I do like the way they "plant" the truck in corners at speed.

That said, I do have my eye on a set of Cooper Zeon LTZs and it is getting close to Christmas...

I'd go ahead and get a set of Coopers.
