New Tires

I just bought some new Toyo Open Country A/T LT275/65/R18's. Does anyone have these? I am pretty impressed with the tread design and the way they handle the mud sofar.

Yep, they are excellent tires. Several people here have them and their twin, the Nitto Terra Grappler.

Nope, I still have a bad shimmy at 45mph to about 55mph. I'm gonna have them balanced again at my next oil change/rotation. I think I have a bad tire. There's not a lot I can do about that since I bought the tires used. I don't think I will ever do that again.

if it is between 45 and 55 it could be a slipped belt, and when the tire gets into that rpm it allows the belts to spread. I dunno, but i wish you luck. I wont buy a used tire after my ordeal with the truck i used to have, a 94 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4.

I bought the used tires for it from a buddy, adn turned out that there were two of the 5 that had factory defects that he knew abotu but didnt tell me. needless to say, i am not friends with him, not to mention i came into the light and finally bought a ford, lol.
