+35 offset?

I have a 2004 Supercrew FX4 with a AS level kit, the truck has 18x8 Vagare wheels with +35 offset. These wheels were on the truck when I bought it. From what I can figure out this equals 5.75 backspacing?

I have 285-65-18 yokohamas on now, will I be able to fit 35-12.50-18 tires with this wheel? If not what would be a good size? I dont really want 33's because the yoko's already look small.
Thanks for the help, this is a great website!

Jim

The 35s wont fit with a lvl kit only. the 33 is the biggest you can go with a lvl kit.

wendell correct me if im wrong.

If you think the yokohamas are to small looking in the 33 get a set of 325/60/18 Nitto Terra grapplers. They look sweet!!

They should fit, I have 17x8 wheels with 5 1/2" backspacing with 35x12.5x17 BFG AT's with no rubbing. The 8" wheels should bring the tires out just enough to clear the control arm where rubbing usually occur's.

Thanks guys, Is there a tire size thats 34-35" tall and 11.5-12." wide?
I dont drive the truck everyday so I am looking for a fairly aggressive tire, although I have not ruled out all-terrains. Would a 305/70/18 like paw paw is running be narrow enough or is this about the same size as a 35/12.5/18?
I am not real attached to the current wheels but I dont think the wife would be happy with new tires AND wheels!!
Thanks again for your input,
Jim

FXJim, check out the 305x65x18 BFG AT's these are close to 34 inches tall and I think a tad bit over 12 inches wide. They would fit on the wheels you mentioned or on stock 18" Ford wheels. The tires I'm running are 315x70x17's which is a 35x12.5 tire.
