wheel sizing

Hey everyone, I am new to the board. I just purchased an 05 F150 FX4 supercab styleside with a 6" Fabtech lift and 35X12.50 tires on American racing 17" rims. I love the truck and it is perfect, only 27,000 miles on it. I am looking to change up the rims and tires. I wanted to maybe go with an 18" rim like the KMC rockstar. My question is, what kind of backspacing/offset/rim width to go with. I was thinking maybe a 9" wide rim would be good with around a 5" backspacing. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to this whole off road set-up. LOL Thanks again

Welcome to the site! An 18x9 inch wheel with 5 inches of backspacing is a very common spec. It will stick out 2 inches farther than the oem 17 and 18 inch wheels (which are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of bs). That wheel with a 325/65-18 (35x13.00) tire will look sweet.
