So I'm new to Ford, and I've just bought a 2005 F-150 Lariat Super Crew 4x4.

I want to run 35 x 12.50 tyres on 18" wheels. What do I need to do? I'm running a front bumper that gives more clearance (Ranch Hand). Will that be good enough, or do I still need a leveling kit, or more?

I'm running is a 2.5" autospring leveling kit up front and a 3" autospring rear block that replaces the stock 2" block. All you need though is a 2" leveling kit up front to clear 35X12.5 on your stock 18's. Thanks for the complement

 

Don't sweat it, m3. I'm a noob with a 2004 screw, and I think silver has it right on, too. After I saw his results I installed the AS 2.5 level in the front, and replaced the rear block with the As 3", all done in my garage easily in one day (I'm no mechanic either, just referred to the great writeup with pics by another member a few weeks back, had my computer right next to me!)) for under $200 (pics coming soon). I measured about 2" of lift at the midpoint, at $100 per inch, I think this was a real bargain! I have the 2004 18" wheels, thought about buying 20" aftermarkets, but think I might add 35x12.5 BFG MT2's to the stock rims. I want to look pimped, not like a pimp if you know what I mean... now if silver could only help me find the tires somewhere for cheap, my truck looks slightly silly now with puny tires!

Out of curiosity, why do the 3" blocks at the bed if they weren't needed?

Is this like a body lift? I've never been a fan of body lifts because of the bumper relocation and gap.
