Brakes making a thumping sound.

I have a 2001 expedition (2wd) that makes a thumping noise when I use the brakes. It's coming from the passenger front wheel but only when slowing the truck. It doesn't happen when the truck is not moving and I press the break pedal. I'm thinking this is likely just the caliper going out, but I'm not sure.

Could be a warped rotor which is a very common problem.

No vibration or shaking and it does stop the truck fine. I put pads on the front end about 6-7 months ago.

the truck does have 90k miles on it, so it's probably time to change the rotors.

Sounds dumb, but make sure your lugnuts are tight......
