Brake Dust Fix ???/

97 F-150XLT....I get a tremendous amount of brake dust. New pads don't seem to help. Can you buy dust covers?

You're new here, so I'll give you some good quick advice, Carquest "blue" semi-metallic pads and new or re-surfaced rotors. If it seems to brake fine, like pedal feel, get these pads or Wagner Thermo-quiets semi-metallics. Case closed.

Why do you have to bleed to put new pads on?

Nope, only when changing the calipers or lines or things that will leak fluid out. Compressing the piston(s) in the caliper slowly prevents leaking out of the resevoir which alls ya gotta do is top up if it's low. The cap says what DOT number of fluid to add too, don't mix different ones.
