05 F250 tire question

I know that some of you are running 35x12.5x17 tires on factory rims. I recently sold my f150 and got a f250 with the 8 lug 17 inch wheel. I was wondering if it is the same width as my f150 17 inch wheels and if these would fit ok. My other question is would I be able to air these down for beach driving or are they too wide and may pop of the bead or wheel? Ay help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure whether they would fit or not, but there is another thing you need to think about. That is the load range of the tires. On the F150, a load range C tire would easily be enough tire for anything you wanted to do. Not true for an F250. You should have a LR D at a minuimum, preferrably a LR E.
If it is a P series tire, don't even think about it.

Also, you are less likely to pop a bead with a wide tire on a narrow wheel.
