bfg km2's ????:help:

I had a set of the 325/60/20 mounted on my stock OEM 20" they were to wide they
hit the upper control arm at the ball joint so i had them put a .25" spacer
on now they only rub at full turn also they rub the sway bar but now my steering wheel shakes like crazy

My truck is a 4x4 screw with a 2.5" leveling kit why do they rub so bad
there are a couple of members here that are running 325/60/20 a/t's with
clearance are the mud terrains wider?the side lugs are above the ball joint
so that should not be the factor
the bfg web site specs are the same on both tires so wtf?

is my truck different or some thing?

the guys with AT can fit that size because they are not dealing with the shoulder lugs you have. Also the guys here are running 35x12.50 on the stock 18" rim. You have a slightly bigger tire, yours will measure out at
35.6x13 (just slightly bigger, but enough) Your 20" stock rim may/probably does have a different backspacing/offset? This would play a huge role in why you are rubbing so much. Also, the spacer is causing the vibration. Most guys will tell you to never run a spacer (IMO on any rig) on these newer F150's. Hope that helps, good luck!

yeah your tires and rims are wider, and as you found, just that little bit makes a difference.

yea the whole spacer thing sucks but i was just trying to get them to fit i was unaware of the vibration until i already paid and left

the rubbing issue should not be the lugs because there above the control arm

and the other members that i was refering to are running the bfg 325/60/20 a/t's on OEM 20"
??????

Most all members runing 35x12.50's or 35x13.00's on oem wheels have minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock. THis is not a big deal, but it drives some people nuts. Some members have also had to use a very thin spacer so the sidewall does not rub the upper ball joint as it is a very tight fit. Some members reported that the rubbing on the upper ball joint was fixed with an alignment. The vibration problem could be a balancing issue or it could be caused by the spacer.

why would the 325/60/20 bfg a/t fit and the 325/60/20 km2 not fit?

the lugs on the side are above the ball joint/uppercontrol arm so its the smooth side wall that is rubbing

if i tried to go to the 325/60/20 bfg a/t is it gonna rub the control arm
with out the spacer?

Not every truck is the same. I had 17 inch rims with 285 70's on it and they rubbed until I added the 2.5" leveling kit. My friend now has the exact set off of my truck and no leveling kit and they just fit without rubbing. I have an 04 FX4 and he has an 04 XLT. It just depends on your truck. I would see what I could do about removing those spacers but thats just me. Hope you can work something out.

I would like to see anyone run a 325/60/20 on only a 2.5 leveling kit with no rubbing. I highly doubt they have NO rubbing. Like I said, the max width you can go with stock rims is 12.50" inches. Your tire measures out to 13.00" inches.
Also, I have to agree with JDB, all trucks are not made equal and identical. Some springs sag before others, some parts are made/cast just slightly bigger etc. The same goes for tires. The tires are not exact, not all identical and have slightly different measurements. Also, generaly speaking, a MT will leave a bigger foot-print then an AT of the "same" size. This isn't much of an exact science. You maybe want to look into the rancho 4" lift. It isn't too much $$$ and I believe it increase your track width enough to where you would have 0 issues and no need for the spacer. hope this helps some...

P.S. lets see some pics! Maybe a pic of how bad you rub? or just a pic of the truck and tires (these tires are sweet looking!)

Some pics would help. Maybe a new set of rims with a little more width and a little different backspacing would help. It would get you away from the control arm but then you may rub on the valence. A little trimming and you may be alright though.

yea that's why i went with that size is because of your truck but i had to run a .25" spacer to clear the upper a arm
On the bfg web site they spec both tires at the same specs that's why i thought they would fit
that makes me wonder if the a/t would have cleared
