Which is the better tire?

I am currently looking at 2 different tires. These will be in size P265/70r17.
I am looking at the Nitto Terra Grapplers and the Toyo Open Country A/T
The toyos are a little bit more but still affordable for me. i am looking for a set that will get me some decent wear. i do alot of onroad driving but need the traction for around the farm and whatnot. and also if i order from 4wheel parts or any website at that wont shipping kill me?
thanks for any help

I have the terra grapplers in a 285/75/16. No complaints yet. I'm pretty sure both those are made by the same company so you can't go wrong with either of them.

Yep, they are made in the same factory and both are excellent.

The Toyos are the better tire in my opinion. I have had them before on a Jeep and they lasted 63 k. A big key into the life of a tire is the tread wear index. If you look at Tirerack you should be able to get the info on both tires. I just had a set of tires shipped from there and it only cost me $40 extra over the cost of the tires.

I bought mine from discount tire. Everything (tires, installation, and free replacment) cost right under $800. I have about 8000-9000 miles so far on them.

Yep, they are excellent tires. But I don't know that they are any better than the Toyo AT's or Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Cant go wrong with either. I would prefer the nittos though, they look better IMO.

I`ve alway`s had bfg`s for my trucks and very please with how long they last.
But for my chevy sub 4x4 ,which my wife drives. I purchase toyo`s A/T`s 285/75-16.Cost was 550 Installed, Had to purchase new tires quick And couldn`t spend extra 300 on the bfg`s. So far I`m please with the quality of these tires.
