I have an 02 lariat screw 4x4 and i have an interminent "clicking" noise coming from my left front. i took off the wheel yesterday and didnt find anything rubbing or grinding but when i drive by those sound walls on the interstate i hear the noise and when i drive on gravel roads it is more apparent. i did the front brakes a while ago still have plenty of pad left its just driving me nuts about the noise and the truck stops fine
please help!!!!!!!

If it's a constant clicking I really believe it's in or has something to do with the wheel, maybe something stuck in the wheel or even something stuck in the caliper.

I had the same exact problem once and tore into and inspected my front end several times. What I failed to look at was the tire it self had a piece of metal stuck in the thickest part of the rubber on the inside of the tire which made it hard to spot, and sticking out about 3/8''. But on the other hand I don't remember going down a dirt road and hearing it before finding the metal.
