Looking to put some new shoes on my F250KR

My three tire choices now

BFG's A/T
Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor
Michelin LTX AT2's

Size is 275/70/18

I tow my 5er freqeutnly, hunt and go off road on occasion.

Not really that interested in making my KR look all crazy with super aggressive wheels but need better mud tires than the Conti stocks

Want high mileage, quiet ride blah blah blah.

Thoughts on those three?

Cheers

JP

(I had the Michelin's on my F150 and loved them so that is what I am leaning towards)

Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor

I have read some negative stuff about the AT2's by Michelin...but the jury's still out on them, they're awful new to the market.

Take a look at what www.tirerack.com reveiws have to say about all terrain tires.

I have bought from Tirerack before....and I have had the prior LTX M/S tires on my F150 but the F250 is a tad different.

Ok, that is one vote for the GY's

my stockers were bfg rugged trail. i do drive a f-150, and my size is 275/65/18, i think. the bfg's i got 85k out of, but both the bfg's and now the goodyears are wearing about the same. i will say this though. if you get the silent armors you have to take it easy on wet pavement. this sounds crazy, but taking off is the only time i ever have it feel loose. driving it feels fine, but when it is wet they seem turn pretty easy.

I'd suggest a set of 285/65-18 (33x11.50) BFG AT KO's.

That size will look great on your truck. It's not gonna be huge, but just slightly larger than stock. The BFG AT KO's are an excellent tire and you can easily get 60,000 miles out of them. They also perform better than most all terian tires offroad.

Oh I should metion that I already have trouble with getting in parking garages and my own garage. How much larger is that tire? I only have around 2.5 inches to get in my own garage right now and only 4 inches to get in my office garage. I cannot park at DFW A, B or C gates, only Express North or South or D.

Darn these F250 FX4's

Yeah I should walk more as I only knocked out 75 miles on my bike today.

It was a nice day out at Eagle Mt Lake. Have to get in 50 miles on Sunday?

Keller used to be a little town of 17K people back in 2001...now we are in the 44K range.

We are just Southwest of Grapevine. It goes, Grapevine, Southlake then Keller

C'mon down, the water is great.
