delays delays delays
Well I finally got an answer from the DT guys. MKW in CA has been waiting on their shipment of wheels to arrive. Everything finally got there yesterday, including my wheels. MKW will be shipping them to my Discount Tire store today or tomorrow, depending on when they get to them while unpacking, meaning they should be here by next week.
The wait continues....

Ok, well this has been an adventure.... My MKW 28's still haven't arrived in the US and I'll find out tomorrow if they ever will.
On the plus side, the guys at discount tire are willing to make me a deal on some 20s and tires if I can't get the 18's I want.
So now if I go with 20s, the question is, should I go with the 305/55/20 (worried about rubbing) or the taller but skinnier 285/65/20 tire? I really liked the idea of a wider tire. I'll probably stick with the BFG TA/KOs (I won't have to pay the differece b/t the 18's and 20's).
Thanks for the help guys!

yea my friend ordered some tires from discount (in store) they said they would call when they come in, and that was 1.5 years ago and they still havent called, and he has sold the car already
It's not DT's fault. My tires came in within a couple of days, but the wheels are being shipped to the dealer from overseas, then on to DT.
I had DT call the dealer and lean on them today. The dealer said he'd contact their supplier and find out what the deal is. If my wheels are still MIA, then we'll think about going with some 20's for the same price.

Update: Last week DT got in touch with the MKW dealer in California, who in turn got in touch with his supplier in Korea. They said the wheels should be loaded on to a ship this week, then take 6 weeks to cross the pond, then another week to get them to NC.
My gut feeling was in 7-8 weeks they still wouldn't be here so I changed my order to a set of these in 20"s

and switched to the BFG TA/KOs 285/65/20s. Called DT yesterday and the wheels are in, now they're just waiting on the tires....
sigh.

Well, went to DT this morning to get everything installed...
They test fitted the front passenger wheel and I took a look and guess what... WRONG EFFING WHEEL!
The warehouse sent these. the Ultra Thunders, not the Ultra Titans.

So after some discussion with the sales guy I've been dealing with we find that the DT warehouses don't have any of the Titans in stock and Ultra isn't open yet (based in CA) and there's a possibility they might not be open till after the 1st of the year. So I'm back to waiting on a phone call to see what can be done.
On the plus side, I got the tires knocked down to $300/ea, free installation and free locking lugs. Now I just hope they can find a set of the right wheels....

Edited to Add: Just to be sure everything will fit right, a 20x9 wheel with 6.75" of backspacing and an offset of +35 with 285/65/20s should fit fine on a FX4 with a 2" leveling kit, correct?
