I have Mickey Thompson MTZ's and I like them. Very aggressive tire with good road noise and road manners. But those new BFG KM2's do look sweet, I would like to see some people get them and let us know how they are.

I have been in the same situation trying to pick out a right m/t thats reliable and doesnt cost too much. After I did alot of research I STILL cannot find the right tire but I chose three tires: BFG M/T- **** Cepek Mud M/T - Nitto M/T. My first choice was the Nitto M/T but I thought they ran high in price!
The prices for 35x12.50R17 were
BFGs M/T: 261.45
**** Cepek M/T: 258.02
Nitto Mud Grapplers: 294.71
Pro Comp M/T:257.06
Micky T MTZ: 219.65
Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip:279.93
All Prices were found at ntwonline.com

uh unless you are very serious offroader and see the mud a lot, might not want to get nittos.
a) because they are expensive
b) they wear out fast on the road
c) your truck will sound like a freight train

personally, i think they are sick but as far as reliability you really have to keep an eye on your pressures and alighnment and make sure to rotate them often, that will help to keep them alive longer and to not wear as fast.

Not sure why the Nitto Mud Grapplers get such a bad rap. They are the best-looking tire you can get IMO. I have 20k on mine (37x13.50x18) and they aren't half gone yet. I expect 45k out of them. Thats close to twice what others claim but I do rotate often and they are mounted on a 10" wheel. They are loud though. No bones about that!!!!
