Nitto Terra Grapplers Are Teh...

$H!T They are so awesome looking, aggresive and built. Got them for $179 USD each in the "rare" LT295/70-17 A/T. They are quiet and stable, and seem OK on the F150 17x7.5 inch rim (really calls for an 8 inch). I like them b/c they are "true" 33.25 inch tires vs. more common 285/70 (32.80 inch) and a bit fatter. This goes well with the 3-inch body lift w/o looking undertired. The true test will be if I'm happy with this tire after 10, and 20K miles.

What do you think?

Had the NTG's over 75 mph for most of today, and they have become a bit noisier-though thats expected as she wears in a bit. I also wonder if it's a bit louder because I lowered the tire pressure to 33lbs...?

It is an oversized tire on the rim, and don't want to wear the middle out. Plus she rides pretty sweet like that...

They look great, but I would run 42 to 45psi in them.

Well they are 295's on a 7.5 rim, which really calls for an 8 inch min-so they are "pinched" slightly and enjoy a much more even tire wear (I've run slightly bigger tires before and had good luck with tread wear).

Plus, I enjoy having the nicer ride. I may actually go down another 1-2 depending on what reading I get when they sit undriven on an 80 degree day (I've found every 10 degrees= +/- 1 lb of air pressure).
