Just bought a Mud Truck

Well I finally decided to run a mud truck. I bought a 1976 F150 4X4 with a big block 390 with 36 inch ground hawgs. But the hawgs have about had it and the rims are useless. I am running in a Class B series. So i would have to run a 33.5 to a 38. Any suggestions on what tire would work the best? Oh and I am running a 15x10 rim.

Super Swamper Boggers are the best mud tires ever made.

Being that you are running a 15 inch rim I would guess that you have 1/2 ton axles. And 1/2 tons and a big block are not going to hold up with big tires, especially if its a 4 speed truck. Depending on your lift I would run a 35x14.5 Super Swamper Bogger. It will be bigger than you 36" hawg and have a hell of a lot more grip.

If it mud drags I would run a tall skinny bogger like the 37 x 13.00 r15. That way you dig down to the hard packed ground underneath and hook up. My friends used to do this and thats what they would always run.

bogger

if you run a big bogger in the back like a 38 and a skinny slightly smaller tire up front like a 36 swamper it will keep the front from digging you down (assuming you have the same ratio's front and back) be prepared to swap some 1 ton axles though

I ran 38-12.50-15 Super Swamper TSL's on My 86 F-150 in Mud Bogs for several years with only acouple of snapped u-joints. I would go as tall as the class will allow and stay 12 inches wide or less.
