Raybestos rotors. Thoughts?

I am getting ready to replace my rotors since they are pulsing horribly and are apparently not worth turning. I was thinking of getting the premium Raybestos rotors from schucks. Has anyone had experience with these? I don't want to spend a fortune on slotted/drilled, etc. so I'm looking for something affordable that will work for awhile.
I replaced the brakes last summer with ceramic pads and they have plenty of material left. Do you guys think it's important to put new pads on anyway? They are rather expensive and I'd rather not if not necessary.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I've heard that the ceramic pads are too hard/abrasive for the rotors......

I'd like to know what rotor does well with ceramics. Ceramics seem waayyy to abrasive for regular Fred's trucks, maybe suited for commercial use, or industrial. I'm thinking I have Raybestos rotors and if so, 2 thumbs up. They are the more expensive ones from Carquest, so Schuck's might have the same. I've heard cross drilled are weak anyways, slotted seem ok. I keep it simple with brakes, parts I don't need to wait more than 2 hrs for ala e-commerce. Carquest delivers to my door

Yes, F151 is right! The ceramic are way to hard. I used to spend the $100 on pads usually every other year but recently talked to my machinist and he said its better to use stock rotors and pads from the dealer. Also never go wat a lifetime pad. The pads are about $100 for the set and the rotors are in my case $250 each. By the time you go to check the rotors again the pads look fine but the rotors are gone. Hmmm, Do the math. You can never get away for brake jobs no matter what the warranty but you can keep money in the wallet if you think. I've gotten more miles out of stock pads and rotors than the high $ crap has given me. Stay factory on brakes unless your racing, that's the best advice a long time ford boy can give!

What do they want for the factory rotors? $$
I don't much like the prices they want up here in AK - there is only one Ford dealership in town so you can guess what kind of markup they add. Shipping is spendy too - I checked and they want about $50 bucks to ship a pair up here. Anybody have a line on a discount OEM supplier?

I paid $137 each for front Rabestos rotors for an 05, includes bearings. Have 10,000 miles on them, they are just fine. Thicker than the originals.

Oooooh - sooo nice!

I can brake now and it doesn't feel like I'm having a seizure!!!
I put the Raybestos premium rotors on and the Carquest blue semi's
These work GREAT! I can't believe how much more stopping power I have over the NAPA ceramics. These pads are awesome, hopefully my rotors will hold up this time. Anybody know how often you need to change out the caliper slides? I bought the hardware kit but when I opened it all it had were the clips (which came with the pads as well) and the rubber boots for the slides but no slides. I just took 'em out, cleaned them up and put a bunch of synthetic brake lube on and slapped them back in. It seems to work good and they didn't appear to have too much wear on them.
I'll report back after driving for awhile on the rotors

Good job buddy! The slides that form onto the caliper bracket ain't a big deal, but I'm surprised it didn't come with these pieces new. You covered the main thing in lubing the slides.
