Hey, I just put on the Autospring Lift kit and brought the truck to Ford for a alignment. They are telling me I need to have caster and camber kits installed to correctly align the vehicle. Does this sound right to anybody?

 

i did the same kit and you shouldnt need the plates. from what i can remember, the toe was out a few degrees... thats about it.

i think they are just trying to sell you something you dont need... go figure.

 

I hate the Ford Dealer. They wanted 540 for the camber kits. I took it to a tire place and he said my camber was only .1 degrees high and it was not necessary to fix. Just need a toe alignment, for all of about $70-80. Never go to a dealer.

 

Wow!! Most parts stores sell camber bolts for around $40, but that is for the 97-03's.

 

Sounds like they are trying to stick it to you! I had my AS 2.5" kit installed by my dealer when I bought my truck. They installed it and aligned it with no issues at all. 1 year later, my truck still drives great and I've had no issues at all or no bad tire wear either. Take it somewhere else to get aligned. Sounds like they just more money out of you.
