White Letters Out on Aftermarket Wheels?

First off, I have always been a huge fan of raised white lettering on tires. Whether its on a car, truck, anything. I have always run them out and kept them clean. I have a set of 285/70 BFG All-Terrains currently mounted to a set of 17x9 Pro-Comp 1059 (Stonecrusher knockoff) wheels with white letters out. I am getting a new set of Moto Metal 956 wheels put on tomorrow (with the same tires) but for once am considering running the white letters in, as to not detract attention from the wheel and also to make the tire look bigger. Still on the fence about it though. The wheels are chrome and the truck is DSG. If anyone can post pics of their aftermarket chrome wheels with white letters out for reference I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Not to hijack or anything, but do you know of any products that work good to re-whiten the letters on such tires? I have 33" BFG AT's as well, but most of the lettering is starting to fade/is faded.
I think the running the white out fits the truck since its an 84', looks better imo.

I always run the white letters in, even on my cars. Idon't have any pic's right now (camera won't be here untill next week) just to many curbs to rub them against while in the truck, like the drive in Bank for instance. Like you said the black wall doesn't detract from the looks of the truck. No I've never seen any aftermarket product that will stay on a tire like the orginal paint even though there may be some out there, I've seen some tire paint in JC Whitney.

I had the wheels mounted today and decided to go with the white letters in for something different, but I'm wishing I would have had them put out. Maybe the look will grow on me but they just look kind of plain without the white letters...

I have always used ajax and a scrub brush for the white letters, and I will continue to do so for the blackwalls. Pictures coming soon for those interested...

bleach white has always worked great. prestone used to make some tire cleaner that worked great too but can't find it anymore. I run my letters out but i have a white truck so it looks good. I would have to say it depends!!
