22's
Found a good deal on a set 22" wheels with 305/45/22's off an Expedition. Will these tires/wheels work on my '03 F-150 Supercrew? How much will I be able to lower it with the combo?
Thanks, Clint |
305/45/22 is gonna be a tall tire, you might have a little rubbing, and you wont be able to go lower then 2/4 for sure, maybe not even 2/4

Go to the tire Company website and see the actual size of the tire. So you can decide if it will work.
Well I was actually wrong on the tire size. Its a 305/40/22. Still have a rubbing problem?
They are Khumo's and their website doesn't give a diameter, just the width. They say 10-12.
305 is about 10.5" wide, and yes you will have rubbing issues at full steering lock. I have rubbing issues with my stock tires lowered 3/5 Stock rims are 7 or 7.5" wide for comparison
actually about 12-12.5'' wide. 305/45/22 is the size Wandell has on his expy and they fit great. I assume the expy they came off and your truck are both in the 97-03 range. otherwise they wouldn't fit. I don't know anything about lowering so I won't go there.

Yea, they are coming off like year Expy.
whats the width and bs of the rims?
315s fit on an 11" rim with a little buldge making it a 12" wide tire :smoke:
305s would be narrower then that |

Definition: The distance between a tire's sidewalls measured at the widest part of the tire. I guess. I am not trying to get into it with you, I was just stating what I always understood to be right.:beers: |
