Tire size for spare

Ok...I just ordered rims and tires for my 2000 f150 4x4 ext. cab. I'm getting BFG 35's on 16x10 rims. I should have them installed in about a week.

I'd like to put a tire with the same height on my spare rim. Nothing fancy - just something that will get me to the repair shop in the event of a flat on one of my BFGs. I'm assuming my spare rim is the same size as the other OEM rims I have on the truck but I haven't actually checked yet.

I was hoping the shop that will install my new tires/rims has a used tire they can sell to me cheap and put it on my spare rim. Any idea what my best options are for this spare tire size? Thanks...

also...if I go with a 315/75-16 on my OEM spare, do I need to worry about a major rubbing issue? I definitely want to know about before I have to use the spare one day and find out it won't work...thanks...

I'd go with a 315/75-16 spare also. That's what I have.

Wandell...one more question

I should have specified that my OEM spare is 17". My options are put a 315 on my OEM rim OR buy a cheap 16" rim and put a 315 on that.

I'm hoping to find something used on craigslist or some place like that.

Are 315's for 16" rims more common? Could I go with a 16x8 and not have to worry about any rubbing issues?...thanks again...
