Rear Diff ABS Speed Sensor Problems (Broke)

I Just tried to remove the rear wheels Speed Sensor mounted on the Diff. I took the Connector and the Bolt holdling it in the Diff easily enough, but I had difficulty pulling out of the diff. After about 15 minutes of fiddling with it, it finaly came apart. I mean Apart like the coil pulled out in my hand and the rest is still in the Diff.

Any Suggestions as to what Next. I put it back together and I can still drive it but, of course the ABS light is on...

01 4X4 with 4wABS Supercrew

Thanks in Advance to anyone that will help out

Do you have any dental type picks in your tool box or has parts dropped into the diff housing? If pieces have fallen into the diff you will have to pull the cover and dig them out that way.

Nothing has fallen in the diff yet. The whole bottom of the sensor stayed stuck in the diff. It seems quite contente in staying there. I may have to open up the diff anyway and push it out from the inside.

Click the black Bronco below & look in the 8.8" Axle album.

OK...

1 Mechanic told me he had to do just that a few weeks ago: Pull the rear diff cover off to be able to push out the Speed sensor from the inside.

Another Mechanic told me The "Carrier Ring in in the way, and you can't do it that way"

Who's right?

Any other ideas

Those are all dandy pic & all, but I must be slow or something cause I'm not finding the answer to what i'm looking for. I can see in the Diagram where the speed sensor is, but since "I" broke it, I already know where it is. On one pic, it look like it may be clear to get to the sensor from the inside but the pic was taken at an angle and it is hard for me to tell.

Is there a specific pic I should be looking at?
