BFG MT 35s on 18" FX4 OEM Rims?
BFG MT 35s on 18" FX4 OEM Rims?
Hi All,
I have a 2005 Super Crew FX4 with the 18" allow OEM rims. I have a 2.5" AS Level kit on the front with the factory 275 R18 tires right now. I want to get BFG MTs.
I went to Discount Tire and was told that my rims are 7.5" and I need 8" rims for the 35x12.50R18 MTs. The BFG web site says the specs are 8.5" min width. I am a little lost because I have seen many posts here indicating the 18" OEMs handle 35" BFG MTs fine. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

you can fit a 35x12.50 on a leveled 4x4 with stock rims...it will rub a little at full steering lock but it will fit and look great imo. The stock rims are a little narrow and are not as wide as recommended but many members have run similar setups for thousands of miles with no problems. check out baloguk's gallery for pics of how it will look.

Just make sure you rotate them every 5000-6000 miles....
