Rim question.

I asked this question in the stock wheel section since part of my question deals with the stock wheels but part of the question also has to do with aftermarket wheels. No one has been able to give me an answer so far.

Hi everyone. I've got some questions. My dad has a 94 F150 4x4. He wants to get some Rockcrawler 97 series steel wheels or Cragar soft 8s. Today we pulled his stock wheels to figure out the back spacing. I believe its 4 inches. They are the stock 15 inch wheels. My first question is, am I right that the back spacing is 4 inches?

My second question, assuming that that is the backspacing for those wheels. There are two different back spacings that I'm considering on these wheels. 3.75 or 3.50. The truck is stock height with 31in tires. Will we have any problem with rubbing if we go with the 3.50s or would we be safer getting the 3.75s? I know its only a half inch maximum but I just wanna make sure before we order these. Thanks in advance everyone.
If anyone can help me out that would be great.
