How much more rubbing would I experience
I want the pro comp extreme mud terrains 305/70/18 (35x12) but they are so expensive. I have a 05 screw lariat 4x4 with the 2" AS. I have the 305/65/18 BFG AT's right now and they do not rub at all. How much more rubbing would I experince if I just went with the 35x12.5 say BFG muds or toyo muds. instead of the 305 pro comp extreme muds. I would be putting these on my stock rims.

I would think quite a bit more...the 305/70 pro comps are only 12" wide and they rub on the control arm a little. I didnt want to spend that much on tires either (and I actully wanted 35x12.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers) but I wanted to get 305/70 size so it wouldnt rub as much.
as long as your keeping the stock wheels i dont think your going to rub as much as u think you will...if you were switching to a different wheel then yes, but keeping stock i think the rub would be minimal

I have the stock wheels with 305/70...and they rub a little at full lock...and at 3/4 lock in reverse. Those tires are 35" X 12". Add another 1/4" to the inside, and you would probably rub a little more....IMO, that is.
That is what I was thinking, so I might be better off spending a little more for a little less rub. The actual pro comp is a little taller than the 35x12.5 BFG mud but I think that the little extra width would still cause more rubbing, so I think I know what tires that I am going for, so thanks for the help.
