Talking Would this setup work?

Im about to purchase these rims and tires and need to make sure they will fit.

So, here are the rims and here are the tires.

Which one of the two rims in that link would I need?

I do have a 2.5" leveling kit and trimming won't bother me at all.

XD778 Monster Matte-Black
Mickey Thompson MTZ's 326/65R18

Thanks!

If you will have any chance of not rubbing it will be on the wheel with 5.7 backspace. Your tires will stick out about 1 1/2" on the 9" wheel and on a wide tire they may hit on the lower wheelwells when turning even with the leveling kit.

So you are saying that they would fit? But I would have rubbing, even when turning slighty?

The closer you are to the stock wheel specs the more clearance you will have on the front. That's where the problem is. I had my 315's on 17x9 with 5" backspacing and they rubbed. I put them on some 17x8's with 5.5 backspacing and they don't rub at all. The tires I have are 34.5 dia.x 12.5 wide. The 325x65x18's may be a little wider and may cause the problem. A 35x12.5x18 may give a little more room. Check with Wandell and see what He say's, He's pretty sharp!

I might also go with some Nitto M/T's that are 12.5" wide, and those should not rub at all correct?

I wish I could figure out what the Actual mileage would be out of those tires, it seems like every has their own opinion. lol

If I was going to route I would take them off during the summer months, trying not to wear them down in the extreme heat down here in the South, I might even do that with the MTZ's but im not sure yet. lol

I'd go with the ones with 5.7 inches of BS and a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire. I think you would have serious rubbing with 35's.

What about a narrower tire but still a 35"?

Like the Nitto M/T?

I hope this works out im really excited about these rims, but if they dont work im going to try another rim b/c 35"s are going to be the only thing that will make me happy b/c my 33"s right now look horrible IMO.

Maybe try a 35x12.5x18 on a 8" wheel with a 5.5 BS. This would keep the tires inside the wheelwell but give more turning clearance up front. This is what is needed to run aftermarket wheels with just a leveling kit without having to butcher the truck to give extra room. Just my 2 cent's!

Alright I made my decision and I will be ordering American Racing Fuel 8 w/ Teflon wheels and Mickey Thompson MTZ's LT315/70R17

I was ordering them tonight but they wanted tax so I'm going to call them tmrw and get things straight.

Good choice because the Pro Comp and KMC wheel in the above post would have caused more fitment problems.

Wandell - is this because he has a 4x2? Would it still be a problem with 2.5 level on a 4x4?
