Wheel wobble

My right rear wheel wobbles. The wobble is more pronounced at lower speeds (30mph or less) and then it pretty much disappears at higher speeds. I got all of the wheels rotated and balanced, but the problem still persisted at the right rear only.

Is this a bent axle or something? What kind of repair costs?

Are the lug nuts tightened correctly?

Is the wheel bent?

I don't think it is a bent wheel, only because the wheels were rotated and balanced, but the wobble still existed at the right rear.

Is it difficult to replace the rear wheel bearings on 99 f-150 4x4?

I would check for a bent hub. Have your tire guy put a latteral run out gauge on the right rear while it's on the rack...that will tell you what's bent.

Oh and by the way...ROLL TIDE!

I got the truck up in the garage today. I have a bent rear axle for sure. Dealer is gonna have to mess with this repair, don't have any time. They quoted me an estimate to replace the rear axle assembly at $650.

They might need to create a 'hand + index finger' icon pretty soon, cause the TIDE might have trouble 'rollin on the plains in AU this year!! Ohhh ya, and I'm having a little trouble remembering who beat the Gators last year....????

No, but really, Saban will do a great job at Alabama and its gonna be great to have two power-houses in Alabama if Tommy 'ears' Tubberville can keep up. AU has it rough this year with Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Arkansas all on the road.
