anyone with 28"s

I am curently opening a used car lot and will also be selling rims I will be carying around 30 different rim manufactures and thought about getting some insainly large rims I have had 22's on my last truck and went thru brakes like it was nothing just wondering if anyone knows anyone who has 28's or even 26's and how they ride and braking? thanks for all the help and if anyone wants a deal on some rims let me know

I used to know a guy in austin tx. with 28" rims on his hummer h2. I think they are ridiculous. They weigh a ton and are like you said very hard on brakes. If you went to larger wheels in that size range,I would recomend going with a Baer Big brake kit or at the very minimum Power Slot rotors and Hawk pads. You have to remember a wheel and tire combo that large weigh close to or over 100lbs easy. You are effectively adding 300 pounds to your truck. Rolling mass is hard to stop on a large wheel set up, Its just physics.

I agree. I wouldn't go larger than 26's, and that would be on a big truck, like a crewcab SD.

I agree also. I have 22's and wish i could go larger like 24's. I haven't thought about 26's or even 28's. 26's would look sick, but def. upgrade your brakes if you go that big. 28's would probably overdoing it. Hopefully you are going to be putting it on a Screw. good luck.
