Tires........Help Help Help

Hello to all! This is my first post but I have been checking this board for about 1 month now and I am new to all this stuff so please forgive me.

I am about to the the 2.5 AS kit for the front and a 1.5 leaf kit for the rear.

My question is about tires for my stock 18's on my 2004 FX4 S-Crew.

Seems like my choices are as follows.

1) 285/65/18
2) 305/65/18
3) 325/60/18

Will all these sizes make perfect clearance without rubbing?
Will all these sizes fit on my stock rims?
Will the 285/65/18 look too small once I add the AS kit?

the 285 looks decent, but it would look a lot better with the 325's. as far as rubbing, i have heard that at bottom suspension with max turn you will have some rubbing. I believe all you have to do is trim a little bit of plastic...

Even with the 325/60?

I heard that it will rub with the 325/65.

I just put on 305/70/18 on stock FX4 rims yesterday....they look great! They are a 12 inch tire...and I have some rubbing, but only on the UCA at full lock and at about 3/4 lock in reverse.....the look totally outweighs the rub though...I just have to get used to driving it again....

I'd go with the 305's if you are keeping the oem wheels.

What about if you don't have leveling kit?? Would the 305's still work? Or is the 285's?

I'd go with the 305/65-18 (34x12.50) BFG. I don't think anyone else makes that size, but some mt's are available in 35x12.50-18. I think I'd stick with 285/65-18's (33x11.50) at stock height, but the 305/65-18's may fit.

Nice truck! Those tires make a huge difference in the look of your truck. Good choice...

THANKS!! I love it...I am very pleased with how it turned out. I found exactly what was rubbing also...It is the sidewall tread...If I had purchased a less agressive tire I dont think I would rub at all....But it really isnt that big of deal anyways.
