some guys are running them on stock wheels, I ran them on my old F-250 with stock wheels (also 7" wide) and I highly DO NOT recomend it, they will look, wear and handle funny. get some wider wheels or go with a 285/75R16 tire, it's the same height but not as wide and will fit on your stock rima lot better.

Yea a 305 is kinda wide for a 7" wide rim. I have 285/75 on my 16x7 stock rims and they fit well.

i also think they will be too wide i have the 285s and theyre fine, i have a stepside too with the mudflaps and even with the 285 they hit the mudflaps, i dont find it to be a big problem, would probly be easy enough to trim them of just take them off

get a body lift and some 10" wheels and it will look like a totally differnt truck. don't forget the gap guards with the body lift...

or you might be able to fit those 305's on 8" wheels with just cranking the torsion bars a bit, but the body lift and 10" wheels will look a lot better

A body lift won't affect ride quality. It had to be the tires or the truck. What air pressure did you run? Were the torsion bars cranked up?
