Those of you With Larger Tires

What have you all done to correct your speedometer?

I plan on adding a tuner down the road but the truck is only 2 months old and I don't want to void my warranty by adding a tuner. What are my options right now (leave it alone as it will not be off too much, let the dealership racalibrate it, etc...)?

Also, for those of you that have M/T's, how much of a drop did you see in your gas mileage after adding them since they are so much heavier?

Thanks.

on my 2001 screw I put 265/75R16's on and I havent noticed a drop in MPG at all, I will be stepping up to a 285/75/16 swamper SSR soon but I am still running my stock 3.55 rear end.....the only way that I know to correct the speedo is either a programmer, or take it back to the dealership and have them recalibrate the computer for the corrected tire size.

Atuner should not affect your warranty. If your dealer is that big of a jerk they will probably void it because you increased your tire size.

Thanks for the reply Wandell. I did just read something from Troyer in regards to flashing it back to stock and there is no way to see the tunes that were in it.

My dealership is pretty mod friendly so I think that I may be going that route sometime soon.

went from stock 265/70-17s to 33x12.5x17 procomp MTs and lost ~ 1 MPG. coincided with true dual cat back exhaust being put on (2 magnaflow mufflers), so hard to say exactly what each mod did.?.?
