Carquest Blues vs Wagner Thermoquiets - Hard on Rotors?

I have been reading through a couple of different forums and it seems to be that the Carquest "Blue" Semi-Metallic Pads and the Wagner Thermoquiet Pads are the general consensus when it comes to replacing stock/oem pads (correct me if I'm wrong).
Specifically with regards to the Wagner pads, I have been shopping around for the best prices in my area and one of the suppliers mentioned to me that I should avoid the Wagner product as they will be extra hard on my stock rotors and ruin them quickly.
Is there any truth to this? Other opinions on the product (these are going on a 2006 F150 SCrew FX4 with 18")?

I have no idea where that is coming from. I'v had the Thermo Quiets on the front for 40,000 and on the rear for 20,000. No excessive wear, no problem of any kind. When I replace them, I will go with them again. Just make sure they are the semi-metallic.

Another note for my "blue" pads, I just rotated the tires after 9 months and 10k km's and there was almost no dust on the inside of the rim at all. Before, they looked like the inside of a diesel tailpipe, now they look better than most peoples outsides. Just a little added note for those wanting no dust pads.
I know for a fact our trucks have the ceramic pads, can we go ahead and replace them with semi-metallics?? I just bought a set (F+R) cross drilled and slotted rotors, and I was thinking Hawk Performance HPS pads or Performance Friction Carbon-Metallic pads. But here is the catch I have run into 3 different situations where the car was a Pontiac Grand Am 1999+ where the semi-metallics wouldn't work and where alot thicker than the ceramics and it wouldnt brake at all and this was with new pads and rotors, had to replace them witrh ceramics and everything was kosher after that.
Sure you can switch to semi metallics, probably the solution for 04 and newer trucks having lots of dust amung other problems. Whatever the problem, Carquest's "gold" pads, the most expensive of 4 types, 3 for sure gave me nothing but problems, 2 sets front, 1 set rear, too much for coincidence. I was suggested to try the "blue" pads, never looked back. I'm sure the "gold" ones were ceramic and the "blue" ones are semi-metallic. This is based on an 00 4x4, I'm assuming all other trucks will benefit the same or close, bluejay432000 has an 05 2wd semi metallic Wagners and says the same so...
