305-50-20s or 305-40-22s??????

I'm am soooooooo confused on this its unreal. I have an 05 Blk/Blk FX4 w/ 2.5" lift and I want a taller tire that sticks out 1.5~2". I have the stock BFG all terrain 275-65-18s. I have been looking at the Akuza creation black machine face or the liquid metal magma black wheels with some cooper zeon LTZ tires (All at discounttire.com). I don't know if this will look good or not or if the tires will be too wide and look like a slammed FX4. The wifey is giving me the go ahead and I don't want to regret the purchase. I want to fill the wheel well up and not have the monster truck runnin on street tires look. Your opinion will be greatly appreciated.

Since you have the FX4 package and have installed a leveling kit, I'd go with the off road look. I'd suggest a 20x9 inch wheel with 5 inches of backspacing, since you want the tire to stick out, and a set of 305/55-20 (33x12.50) all terrian tires. I'd suggest looking at the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo AT, Pro Comp Xtreme AT or Mickey Thompson ATZ tires. That wheel will stick out 2 inches farther than the OEM 17 or 18 inch wheels.
Also, JENK**** has a set of 22's for sale.

Thanks JENK****, but I was wanting a black wheel with a little bit of chrome. I will pass it on to a friend I know looking for wheels also. Rawaserver299 your wheels have a REALLY CLEAN look they match the truck perfectly. I must agree with Wandell, I really want an off-road look. My first choice when I started looking was the BFG AT KOs but, I'm going to wait to purchase those on down the line so I won't send the wife in sticker shock. Thanks for the info. though I had no Idea that the 305/55/20s were actually 33x12.50s. I just had back surgery in FEB. and while all LOrAtabbed out I purchased a custom tuned live wire from Troyer and a ram air volant CAI on ebay . So the wife is being tolerant for this mod. so far.

Thats looks really good. I was concerned about the aspect ratio. I did not think that there was going to be so much tire there. That is exactly what I want.

Your 20X10s look like they are putting a lot of meat on the grill. The wheels I was looking at are 20X9s or the 22X9.5s. I think I am going to go with the 305/50/20s after seeing what they actually look like on the truck. And I've noticed that there is not a lot of popular tires to choose from in 22s.

It's a 4x4...make sure your truck does not have an identity crisis. Since you lifted it (levelled it) you need to make sure you go with a 33" diameter tire. I love when big tires are stuffed in the fenders.

Amen, brother on the identity crisis!!! See right now my truck has the same look as your 04' FX4 Scab w/ the 2.5 autosprings installed. There is sooooo much wheel well there. I love your F250 w/ the forward red vents. Is that after market?

I believe the red vent means it has the powerstroke diesel, and black vent means its a gas engine.
