Quickie about tire sizes...

So I was checking out the hankook website last night and they listed their tires sizes. I was looking at the 265/70r17 and in () around it, it said (32 tall x 10.5 wide). Is this true, I have no idea how to convert the first numbers into inches. Is the 265 a metric number? Thanks!

Yes, 265 is the width of that tire in millimeters. It's 265mm wide or 10.5 inches wide. And yes, a 265/70-17 is essentially a 32x10.50-17 tire.

What Hankooks are you looking at? I live in FWB and I just got my Hankooks installed. The only dealer in the area is in Crestview, so if you decide to go with the 'kooks, you will probably have to go there. (unless there is a way that you can get them on base) Let us know what you decide...
